Horn Book Review

This novella chronicles the disappointments that shaped Ursula, villain of Disney's The Little Mermaid. Sporadic references to Ariel's quest to marry Prince Eric alternate with Ursula's memories of rejection, an independent story about Princess Tulip, and the machinations of other witches. The book lacks focus and drifts toward obscurity at times, but fans of Disney's canon may enjoy Valentino's elaborations. (c) Copyright 2017.
