Description
The Land of Dreams Come True was a three act operetta presented by the Avon grade school on Saturday, April 17, 1948 at eight o'clock in the Avon School auditorium. The synopsis of the operetta: Act I - Playground at edge of forest; Act II - Exterior of Mother Goose's home; Act III - Same at Act I. The Cast (in order of appearance): Betty - Betty Holmes; Bob - Larry Webb, Peggy - Joy Ann Bosely, Paul - Jimmy Stewart as School Children on Holiday; Mother Goose - Ruth McClain; Old Woman - Vivian Bruce; Bo-Peep - Patty Hayden; Jack Horner - Harry Bradley; Queen of Hearts - Glenda Jordan; Boy Blue - Larry Bosely; Miss Muffett - Barbara Herrin; Son John - Harry Simmons, Jill - Patty Hayden; Jack - Alan McDonald; Contrary Mary - Nancy Hopkins; Nimble Jack - William Merritt. Pixie Chorus: Rollin Nichols, Norman Birch, Geoffery Bradley, Rex McClain, Terry Birch, Ray Muston, Roger Williams, Bobby Reed, Wallace Eggers, Orville Stewart; Playmate Chorus: Estha McCamy, Vivian Smith, Dock Crouch, Joel Birch, Beverly Gates, Mary Agnes Robins, Jimmy Jenkins, Harley Eggers, Clark Warren; Rose Chorus: Lola Miller, Sandra Ellis, Deana Nichols, Rebecca Roberts, Mary Tharp, Norma Englehart, Betty Clossey, Marjorie Muncy, Jean Carpenter, Faye Selch, Sherry Brown Phyllis Bruce; Blue Bell Chorus: Iva Eggers, Joyce McGinnis, Mary Alice Howard, Jane Barlow, Jean Barlow, Cynthia Clossey, Jane Gerth, Sara MacDonald, Jean Ellen Wright, Carol Miles; Daisy Chorus: Irene Crouch, Sandra Monday, Norma Muncy, Carolyn Lee Parsons, Myrna Roseboom, Margaret Tharp, Mary Jayne McGuire, Beverly Shew, Donna Wildey, Hazel Gentry, Marietta Egbert, Margaret Beth Pock.
