Frank Harrison Parsons (1889 – 1918), son of Adrian Alkanah Parsons (1846 – 1929) and Mary Mariah (Fox) Parsons (1850 – 1922), served in the Marine Corp during WWI. While guarding an Ordnance Plant in Charleston WV he contracted influenza and died of pneumonia on October 21, 1918. This document from the U. S. Navy Department, Bureau of Supplies and Accounts gives instructions on the remains of Frank H. Parsons, Private, U.S. Marine Corps to be shipped from Charleston, West Virginia by American Railway Express to Plainfield, Indiana via Cincinnati, OH and Indianapolis, IN.
