A present from grandmother Dec 4, 1901” Benjamin Abbott Huron was born December 31, 1811 in Warren County, Ohio and died February 23, 1888 in Avon, Indiana. Katharine Harding was born April 8, 1815 in Taylor County, Kentucky and died August 30, 1902 in Florida while visiting a daughter. They were married December 10, 1835 in Hendricks County, Indiana and made their home on what is now Beechwood Center and Beechwood Farms, at that time a combination of farm fields, woods and orchards. Benjamin Abbott and Katharine (Harding) Huron had 10 children, nine of which survived to adulthood and became successful professionals. Leroy Benjamin Farmer Huron (1887 – 1927) was born to Mary Etta Farmer Huron (1856 – 1950) Seth Thomas “Tom” Huron (1850 - 1934). “Grandmother” is Katharine Harding Huron.
