[On the back of the photo]: “Beula Muston’s Grandpa Reed, Uncle Willie, Uncle Lester.” Farm was on both side of Dan Jones Road [County Rd 800 E] ½ mile north of 36. Had a tile factory here and made most of tile for Original Ditching thru this area. William Gladden Reed was born January 30, 1841 and died September 29, 1919. He married Sarah A Larsh (1854 – 1945) on October 8, 1873. They had four children: Millie Frances Reed (1874 – 1976), William Everett Reed (1877 – 1954) (referred to as William Reed Jr. in this photo), Ada Florence Reed Barker (1886 – 1933) and Lester Arlo Reed (1890 – 1964). William Everett Reed was born 1877 and died March 6, 1954. He married Grace M. Chambers (1880 – 1967) on August 14, 1900. They had twin boys that were born and died in 1901 and a daughter, Fern Lorraine Reed Lawson Hadley (1902 – 1981) Lester Arlo Reed was born September 27, 1890 and died July 16, 1964. He married Jessie A Gossett (1893 – 1928) on September 22, 1913. They had two children: Bernice Marie “Bern” Reed Zink (1917 – 2001) and Sarah Elizabeth “Betsy” Reed Paetz (1920 – 1986).
