Barker, Otto Weer, Herman Barker, Eli Ross, Harris Weer.” Emily Ann Mark Barker (1858 – 1944) was the wife of Daniel Stright Barker (1846 – 1925). Daniel Stright Barker was born in Hendricks County October 1846 to Robert Jorden Barker (1810-1894) and Dorcus (Gossett) Barker (1818 – 1894). Mary E. Barker Weer (1842 – 1926) was born to Robert Jorden Barker (1810-1894) and Dorcus (Gossett) Barker (1818 – 1894); married Harrison “Harris” Weer (1840 – 1910) on September 1, 1892 as his second wife. Easter Gladys Weer was born in Plainfield, Indiana April 7, 1901 to single mom Lillian Luella Weer (1880 – 1951) who later married Barney M. Smith (1879 – 1963). Esther married Chelcie Marcellus Griffin (1903 – 1970) on September 15, 1926. She died November 14, 1970. Caroline “Linnie” Barker Ross (1852 – 1929) was born to Robert Jorden Barker (1810-1894) and Dorcus (Gossett) Barker (1818 – 1894); married Elihu “Eli” Ross in 1889. Eli was the son of Alexander Ross (1807 – 1858) and Bethiah Hurin (1809 – 1884). Mary Edith “Edith” Merritt Ragan (1890 – 1949) was born to George Thomas Merritt (1844 – 1906) and his second wife Hannah A. Barker (1850 – 1925). Hannah Barker was the daughter of Robert Jorden Barker (1810-1894) and Dorcus Gossett Barker (1818 – 1894). Edith married Foster Ragan August 8, 1909 and divorced before 1948. Dorcus Irene “Irene” Barker was born September 4, 1884 to Daniel Stright Barker (1846 – 1925) and Emily A. Mark Barker (1859 – 1944). She never married, appears to never have worked outside the home and died in 1961. Mary Ester Barker was born April 2, 1904 to Daniel Stright Barker (1846 – 1925) and Emily A. (Mark) Barker (1859 – 1944). She married William Irvin White (1893 – 1964) between 1935 and 1939. They had one son, William White, Jr. (1939 - ). Census records show her living in Normal, Illinois in 1940. Mary died on September 28, 2002 in Florida and is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield, Indiana. Lilly Luella Weer Smith was born January 22, 1880 to Harrison “Harris” Weer (1840 – 1910) and Sarah Agelina (Taylor) Weer (1850 – 1888). She married Barney M. Smith (1879 – 1963) on November 19, 1910. She had one daughter before marriage, and three daughters after marriage. Daniel Stright “D. S.” Barker was born on October 11, 1846 to Robert Jordan Barker (1810 – 1894) and Dorcas (Gossett) Barker (1818 – 1894). He was the only male of Jordan's and Dorcas's of seven children. He was a mail carrier for Smootsdell (Avon) from 1868 – 1873. He married Emily Ann Mark (1859 – 1944) on November 11, 1877. Daniel died on April 7, 1925. Emily died in 1944. Daniel and Emily had eight children. Three, Mabel, Gracie Ellen, and Robert M. died in infancy. Three of the surviving five never married: J. Raymond, Dorcas Irene, and Ruth Amelia. Herman married Ada Florence Reed and Mary Esther married William White. Otto David Weer Sr. was born February 17, 1878 to Harrison “Harris” Weer (1840 – 1910) and Sarah Agelina (Taylor) Weer (1850 – 1888). He married Cecil Pearl “Pearl” Coryell Weer (1887 – 1966) on October 18, 1921. They had one son, Otto David Weer, Jr. (1922 – 2002). Jorden Herman “Herman” Barker was born September 7, 1886 to Daniel Stright Barker (1846 – 1925) and Emily A. (Mark) Barker (1858 – 1944). He married Ada Florence Reed on June 22, 1910. She died in a car accident on December 9, 1933. On November 21, 1937 he married Minnie Fahrbach (1896 – 1982). Elihu “Eli” Ross was born March 13, 1846 to Alexander Ross (1807 – 1858) and Bethiah (Hurin) Ross (1809 – 1884). He lost an arm in the Civil War. Eli married Caroline “Linnie” Barker on June 18, 1889 and died September 22, 1926. He and Linnie had no children. Harrison “Harris” Weer was born February 4, 1840 to Elijah Weer (1794 – 1848) and Margaret (Cox) Weer (1803 -1865). He married Sarah A.Taylor (1850 – 1888) on July 15, 1866; and Mary E. Barker (1842 - 1926) on September 9, 1892. He and Sarah had 7 children. Photograph was taken between 1901 - 1910.
