Sarah Ann Larsh was born November 20, 1854 in Johnson County, Indiana to Jonathan Newton Larsh (1831 – 1909) and Anna Ann (Meyers) Larsh (1839 – 1922). Sarah married William Gladden Reed (1841 – 1919) on October 8, 1873. They had a farm that spanned both sides of Dan Jones Road (Co Rd 800 East) between Co Rd 100 North and US Hwy 36 in Avon, Indiana and had four children: Millie F. Reed (1874 – 1976), William Everett Reed (1877 – 1954), Ada Florence Reed Barker (1886 – 1933) and Lester Arlo Reed (1890 – 1964)
