Ada Florence Reed (October 31, 1886 - December 9, 1933) and Lester Arlo Reed were born to William Gladden Reed (1841 – 1919) and Sarah Ann (Larsh) Reed (1854 – 1945) on a farm on Dan Jones Road between US 36 and 100 N. in Avon, Indiana.
Ada Florence Reed married Jorden Herman “Herman” Barker (September 7, 1886 - October 6, 1969) on June 22, 1910. Ada Florence (Reed) Barker and was killed in a car accident that seriously injured her husband and daughter Lois. The Barker children include: Beula Bell Barker Muston (1911 – 1982), Ira Gordon Barker (1913 – 1998), Lorna Pearl (Barker) Fisher Ross (1915 – 1992) and Lois Ileen Barker Smith (1926 - 1999).
